Our long flight was over but we couldn’t quite swing into holiday mode until our bike boxes arrived. Thankfully the wait at over-sized baggage was brief before our two big boxes appeared. We went straight into the business of bike assembly in this quiet nook in the airport and discovered all the vital components arrived intact.

Airport staff seemed to tolerate our liberal use of space and one kind chap gave us several suggestions about off road bike routes. The weather forecast for Slovenia is looking pretty soggy and cold thanks to the fall out of hurricane Irma so we are contemplating a rapid reimagining of itinerary.
