Les Roches Bleues

If the ride into Piana was our gentle, almost contemplative introduction to Corsica’s beauty, the twishing and turning ride through Les Roches Bleues felt like a carnival ride – part roller-coaster part bumper-cars. For good reason, this stretch of road had become a tourist attraction, and the hundreds of cars, caravans, motorcycles and mad pedestrians negotiating the hair-raising hair-pin bends attest. If anything, being on a bicycle was the safest option of all, as we could noodle our way through the tight squeezes at a reasonable pace, while enjoying the spectacular scenery.

There must be a million-and-one photographs of the rock formations on this stretch of road, so rather than add to the digital congestion, we thought you might enjoy the view from AW’s GoPro.
